Valley View English Medium Private School, Soweto Moshi and other English Medium Schools
Valley View offers pre-primary and primary education to children aged 4-14 years. Volunteer opportunities exist for teachers in the subjects of mathematics, science, geography, history and English and to teacher assistants generally. Classes are taught in English (except Kiswahili), and some of the younger classes use some Swahili to improve the children’s grasp of subjects. Many of the SWIWSCO children attend Valley View. Volunteers are required for full or half weekdays between the hours of 7.30am and 4.00pm.

Khuba Nursery School, Soweto, Moshi
Khuba Nursery School operates an educational program for children age 6 years and under. Children are taught English speaking and writing, songs, sports, drawing and other activities. Volunteer opportunities are available weekdays.

Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA), Moshi
VETA offers training in vocations including carpentry, restaurant and hotel management and a range of mechanical vocations. VETA offers opportunities for volunteer teachers in basic English, computer skills (email, internet, Microsoft Office) and business skills (business idea development, bookkeeping, budgeting).

Mkombozi Centre, Moshi
Mkombozi, supports Tanzania's most vulnerable children and youth through housing, education, research, advocacy, and outreach. Initially established in 1997 as a live-in residential centre and safe haven for children living on the streets, today Mkombozi, is one of the leading child-focused agencies in northern Tanzania, working with over 1,000 children and families a year in Kilimanjaro and the Arusha Regions. Mkombozi's, mission is to help children and youth grow in mind, body and spirit and in turn having these children care for their community and foster healthy relationships while respecting and understanding the laws of their country.
Volunteer opportunities exist with Mkombozi’s mobile school, youth outreach program, vocational training center as well as event outings and general administration duties. Volunteers must be emotionally mature, able to manage stressful situations and project a positive image to young people.
